All Spurwing Rations include full fat soya. Full fat soya is rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. Extensive scientific research has shown that the addition of these fatty acids to the daily feed ration produces exceptionally good results.

No maize or oats are included in these rations. We make use of soya oils in the full fat extruded soya as a source of calming, controlled energy. The extrusion process increases the digestibility of the soya making the proteins, Omega 3 and 6 and Vitamin E readily available for absorption. Our inclusion of premium Cape Lucerne adds a high quality source of fibre and is high in natural calcium levels. In addition to top quality ingredients, an international standard of vitamins and minerals is included in all of these rations.

Full Fat Soya remains a source of controlled and sustainable energy in these rations, while the grain component is in the form of oats and extruded maize. The oats are rolled for better absorption and, importantly, all maize is extruded. The process of extrusion of the maize is VITAL for the horse to reap the maximum benefits of this energy source. Extrusion allows for absorption mainly in the foregut, which has huge benefits and reduces the danger of acidosis possibly leading to colics, laminitis and azoturia. In addition to top quality ingredients, an international standard of vitamins and minerals is included in all of these rations.
